Rose Hobart
I personally believe that Joseph Cornell's "Rose Hobart" was particularly unaffecting. The clips from the film that he put together did not convey to me the reason why he was so intrigued with her. In each of the scenes her acting did not strike me as extraordinary. From watching the film, I was left wondering what the film he took clips from was about, and wondering why she was a famous actress. Also, the music was absolutely dreadful in that it did not keep my attention and attempted to lull me to sleep. It did not help that the film had a hazy, somewhat dreamlike appearance. Possibly Cornell did this to portray how Rose Hobart appeared in his dreams? Either way, it was not very attention-grabbing or stimulating to me. Of course, it might be more stimulating to a man who admires Rose Hobart.
