"Tonight, Tonight (Trip to the Moon)"

“Le Voyage Dans La Lune” était très bon!!!

I really liked this film because it seemed to be based on the concept of embracing childhood fancies/fantasies. It was presented in a light-hearted manner which instilled some form of happiness in me as I watched it.

The costumes we R1D1CUL0US; their theatrical appearance and the stage settings initiated a “theatre-production” atmosphere in the film. I love theatre and I’ve worked as a techie so I liked knowing I could possibly replicate what we were viewing.

There was an element of chaos throughout the film that also made it really interesting. For a while it seemed as if the story came about because it’s creator was high or something and just replicated his experience through film. The Umbrella-Shroom was very funny because it reminded me of a documentary I once saw.

I feel like this contribution to the blog is not super profound because I wasn’t moved by the movie very much…I just liked it like you might like an attractive boy / girl / video game / toy…its entertaining but most certainly expendable. Maybe I just didn’t get it; or I was expecting something more than what I witnessed…It was nice that’s all…”maybe I’ll show it to my kids someday” :P

P.S. here’s “Tonight, Tonight (Trip to the Moon)” a Smashing Pumpkins video inspired by “Le Voyage Dans La Lune”
