My original impression of the film, since I have yet to read the article about it, was a mix of confusion over what actually happened and intrigue in the storyline and make of such an early film. It is true that the silent actors had great expressions and emotion, though not to be said today's actors do not, but their emotion is so much more apparant without the use of sound.

Also, I was impressed with the fact this copy of the flim was actually tracked down across the world. It only proves that it was significant enough that an organization found it necessary to travel from Germany to Brazil and various countries simply to put together an old movie. Clearly, it had enoug meaning to someone for this is be possible.

Personally I really enjoyed the film, especially compared to last week, and can't wait to read more about it and hopefully become enlightened as to the true occurences in the film.
