Early Sci-Fi

The movie, A Trip to the Moon, was an interesting look into one of the first science fiction movies of all time. It was interesting to me because this was considered groundbreaking advances in technology and animation at the time. This made me wonder what our animation is going to be like in another 100 years. We have seen everything from claymation to animatronics that seem so lifelike as to fool even the closest observers in the last few decades. What can be next in the world of film? Katharine said that "higher technology is a given." This is most certainly a true statement, and only inspires wonder as to what the new advancements in technology will be. Moving from an endless loop of a bodybuilder flexing to an animated portrayal of a trip to the moon in such a short time is a wonder in itself. Who knows what can be accomplished in the next century?
