I think I'd like to start off by saying that the eye that was being slit in the intro scene was actually a dead calf's eye (thank you wikipedia and my weird interests in movies like this a year ago).

Below are images created by Man Ray ( Wikipedia: A photogram is a photographic image made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the surface of a photo-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light) I think these are photograms but I'm not sure.
