Although learning about the many methods of making motion before the magic behind film was availiable is interesting and enlightening, it could have perhaps been presented in a more exciting way. Personally, I did not find the unending succession of old-fashioned toys the most riveting film.
On another note, seeing the other movies was a more interesting experience. Although seemingly simple, it must be considered how new and impressive these techniques were at the time. Additionally, I found the concepts behind the movie involving the trip to the moon incredibly innovative for their time, after all, some respect must be owed to the creation of one of the first science fiction movies ever. Especially due to the fact we are still watching it in classes today.
